Seattle has a huge market right on the water.

The Northwest is known for its indian culture. This totem pole is on the Pudget Sound.

Back to Seattle

After five days in Washington it is time to head home for Christmas. While waiting for the bus heading East we decided to walk around downtown.

Dave and I picked up some hot coffee and warmed up from our snowshoeing.

Time to Head Back

The sun was going down, the clouds were coming in, and the temperature was dropping.

Taking It Easy

After climbing up the mountain Dave debates taking a nap.

The clouds pulled back for one photo then completely engulfed us.

Chris Falling

Again, Dave could not get enough of me struggling in the snow.

Dave is small again in this enormous landscape.

Mount Rainier.  My hands went numb immediately at this elevation.

At the top we cooked up some chicken and rice.

Mount Rainier

Dave liked taking pictures of me falling on my face.

We struggled to get up the steep slopes in our huge snowshoes.

Olympic Peninsula

You can see Olympic National Park just west of Seattle across the Pudget Sound.
Originally from Strongsville, OH, I spent 8 years in Raleigh, North Carolina and have since recently moved to Missoula, MT. I have been a runner all my life and have recently started pursuing ultra marathons. Any excuse to be outside and on the trails.
